1:1 Coaching Program - Frequently Asked Questions

What is betrayal trauma coaching?

My coaching program is a Christ-centered, compassionate support system for women navigating the devastating effects of infidelity. It provides a safe space to process emotions, regain a sense of identity, and find healing through biblical truth, emotional support, and practical guidance. Unlike therapy, which often focuses on clinical mental health, coaching empowers you to take active steps in your healing journey, aligning your heart with God’s plan for restoration—whether that’s within your marriage or in your personal life moving forward.

Practically, coaching with me is provided in 3 or 6-month support packages. We'll meet online twice a month for 50-minute coaching sessions (via Microsoft Teams or Zoom), and you'll have access to me for support between sessions via the Marco Polo app (voice and video messaging). You'll also have access to the JBB Community meetings (2x/week), private message boards, and resource library for the duration of your coaching.

What’s the difference between coaching and counseling?

Both coaching and counseling / therapy play important roles in healing, but they serve different purposes. Therapy is often necessary for diagnosing and treating mental health conditions like PTSD or depression, while coaching is action-oriented, helping you navigate your present circumstances and future decisions. In a Christian coaching approach, we rely on faith-based principles, biblical wisdom, and practical steps to help you heal, rediscover your worth, and move forward with confidence. Coaching is not a replacement for therapy, and can be a powerful complement to it.

How do I know if I need a coach or a therapist?

If you're feeling lost, stuck, or emotionally overwhelmed but don't have a clinical mental health diagnosis that requires therapy, coaching may be a great fit for you. Coaching is ideal if you’re ready to take action steps toward healing but need guidance, accountability, and support along the way. If your pain feels unbearable or affects your ability to function daily, a therapist might be a better starting point. Many women utilize a combination of both coaching and counseling for the most comprehensive support.

Is your coaching approach faith based?

Yes! My coaching is Biblically based and Holy Spirit led. While I respect each woman's personal beliefs, my coaching is from a Christian perspective.

We'll incorporate prayer, God’s word, and listening for His voice because the Lord understands betrayal and His Word provides the ultimate source of comfort, direction, and hope. Whether you’re struggling with forgiveness, trust, triggers, or self-worth, we’ll explore how to tackle these things from both a practical and spiritual perspective.

How does your coaching help me heal after infidelity?

As a Christian betrayal trauma coach, I help women process their pain in a way that honors both their emotions and God’s truth. Through coaching, we focus on reclaiming your identity in Christ, setting healthy boundaries, overcoming triggers, and developing emotional resilience. You’ll receive practical tools and biblical encouragement to move from heartbreak to hope, trusting that God can bring victory in your life!

How long will I need a coach?

Healing is a journey, not a quick fix. The timeline varies for each woman, depending on the depth of the betrayal and your personal history. While there’s no exact timeframe, I've found that you'll be in each of the 4 stages (shown above) for 6-12 weeks. Through coaching, I help you navigate whatever stage you're in with 3 or 6-month support packages. You can work with me as long as you need support because I don't want you to go through it alone.

What credentials do you have?

I am an IBCC Certified Mental Health Coach and Certified Kingdom Coach. My training provides a strong foundation in mental health principles, trauma-informed care, and faith-based coaching strategies. In addition to my certifications, I have successfully navigated infidelity in my own marriage. I understand firsthand the pain, confusion, and deep wounds that betrayal brings—but I also know that healing, restoration, and renewed strength are possible. My journey has given me a deep empathy for the women I coach, and I am passionate about helping women heal, rebuild their identity, and move forward with clarity and confidence.

While I am not a licensed therapist or counselor, my certifications enable me to walk alongside women in their healing journey, integrating faith, proven healing strategies, and personal experience.

Is this covered by insurance? / How much does it cost?

No, currently coaching is not covered by insurance because it is not a licensed therapeutic service. Coaching is considered personal development rather than mental health treatment. While I wish this were different, I do offer a variety payment options and packages to make coaching more accessible.

My coaching support packages cost between $215-300/month depending on the length and payment plan you choose.
